Valley Water Systems is a regulated, privately owned water utility serving over 6600 customers in Plainville, Southington, and Farmington, Connecticut.

The roots of the company were established by charter of the State General Assembly in 1884. In that year a reservoir was constructed for $6500 and the water company's first water service was installed soon after. During the intervening period, and some 6500 customers between then and now, miles of water mains, hydrants, pump stations, treatment plants, and storage tanks have been built. These water system additions represent over $20,000,000 of investment.

Today our headquarters houses a staff equipped to handle virtually every phase of activity expected of an investor owned water utility.
